The Nala Fund’s mission is to help dogs who need medical care. Dogs bring the magic of unconditonal love, trust, fun, and comfort to many people! When dogs are injured or need medical care, it can be heartbreaking to a dog owner who cannot afford it. In these cases, dogs are sometimes surrendered to shelters or simply suffer due to a lack of funding.

The Nala Fund was established in November 2020 through the Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County to help dogs who need medical care. Dog owners, Dog Foster families, and Shelters may apply for assistance. Funds will be paid directly to veterinarian’s offices. In emergency cases where an owner has already paid and is experiencing financial hardship due, applications for reimbursement within one month of the procedure will be considered.
